A Miracle through our Struggles

I do know that God is in the details of my life. I have seen Him in the form of mortal angels, heard Him in the form of an uplifting phone call, felt Him in the comforting whispers of the still small voice, understood Him in the prompts for guidance.

Some many years ago we had the effects of a change in the economy that had a devastating effect on our family. My business was in the real estate world. Interest rates soared to the mid teens and made it very difficult to sell the homes we were building. It shut our business down.

We were faced with where we could live, how do we even eat, it was that bad. We were losing our home. Our efforts to exist, our prayers for guidance seemed almost empty. We did believe that heaven was watching. We also knew that one must do everything they can to solve the problems one faced. It, however, seemed bleak. In the middle of this blackest of times I received a phone call from an elderly couple in our neighborhood. They visited for a few moments and mentioned that they understood that we were having some difficulties. They then said they were looking to go and live in their home in the country for a year and wondered if we would need a place to live. Their home was just a couple of blocks from where we lived. They said if we could just keep up the utilities and take care of the home, that would be all the cost for us. The tender mercy of mortal angels just showered down on us. We could not believe this unsolicited blessing came to us in the exact moment we needed something.

A short time later another person who I had not seen for a number of years sought me out and indicated that he was feeling that we needed some help. He gave us a $5,000 check. Another heaven sent needed blessing.

This and many more miracles were seen during this difficult time of our lives.

It took us some years to dig out of the hole that had been created by those challenging times, however we were able to do so. Thanks to the goodness of the promptings from heaven to mortal angels we were blessed in such a timely way.

This is evidence that there is a God in Heaven and that He loves and cares for us. He has sent his Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ to help us through our suffering, pains and afflictions. I know this for a surety. I pray that I will be a mortal angel when needed.
